Medieval Scottish Wedding at Historic Rock Castle

Billy and Heather chose Historic Rock Castle in Hendersonville for their ceremony, not so much for the house itself but the surrounding nature of the locale.  We started with a fear of rain, but thanks to something more powerful than all of us, the clouds parted and the sun appeared at the last moment!  One of the bride's wishes was to get a sunset picture by the water.  ALL of the bridal party & parent's outfits were hand made by the bride's mother... kilts, dresses and even the leather vest the groom wore.  The couple were wed in a Hand Fasting Ceremony followed by a feast of brisket and roasted turkey legs.

Scott and Kristina's Summer Wedding

Nothing is more beautiful than a Summer wedding and a red, convertible Corvette.  Scott and Kristina chose the Sevigny estate on the outskirts of Franklin, Tennessee as the location of their ceremony and reception.  The day was quite a scorcher, but the wedding party were all troupers and we got some great shots in this beautiful locale.  The ceremony took place on the steps of the house.  The "get-away" car was used to escape to the spacious barn to meet the guests for great meal, cake and dancing!

Inspired

I am such a visually inspired person.  Music inspires me, but not nearly as much as images do.  I wondered for the first time today whether I'm visually inspired, thus a photographer... or a photographer, thus I'm visually inspired.  I guess argument could lead to either conclusion.  Guess it takes one to be the other?  Is this just another chicken vs. egg concept??
